d
to the signed approved site plan dated June 17,2016.
Specific Requirements
Refer to the Site Evaluation Field Worksheet which shows the approved area and other details of the
site visit.
Standard System
Lineal feet of drainfield: 450
Distribution method: Serial
Trench depths: Minimum 24"
Maximum 28"
A DETAILED SEPTIC SYSTEM STAKEOUT IS REQUIRED prior to the issuance of a septic
system installation permit. A stakeout of both initial and replacement fields must be completed to
determine that the system will fit within the approved area. A scale drawn, detailed site plan must be
submitted with the application for the installation permit. The stakeout must be inspected on the
property and approved before the permit can be issued. Instructions for the stakeout are attached and
are available in our office.
AN EFFLUENT LIFT PUMP WILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic system disposal field in the
approved area and at the required depth. Detailed instructions for dosing tank/effluent pump
installations are available in our office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank,
the wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure must be done under a Marion County
Electrical Permit.
Additional Conditions of Site Approval
1. This site is approved for the type of disposal system described above. Peak sewage flow into
the system is limited to a maximum of 450 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of not
more than 225 gallons per day. This is normally sufficient to serve a residence with 4 (four)
bedrooms. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow
quantities is exceeded. If,for some reason, you expect your water use may exceed these flows,
it may be advisable to increase the size of the treatment system.
2. Any alteration of natural soil conditions (i.e. cutting or filling) in the acceptable area may void
this approval.
3. Both the initial and replacement disposal areas are to be protected from traffic, livestock and
farming activities, development or other potential disturbance of natural soil conditions.
4. The area must not be subjected to excessive saturation due to, but not limited to, artificial
drainage of ground surfaces, roads, driveways and building down spouts.
5. This approval is given on the basis that the parcel described above will not be further
partitioned or subdivided.
6. Placement of a well within 100 feet of the approved areas may invalidate this approval.
This site approval is valid until the system approved above is constructed in accordance with a Marion
County issued Construction-Installation Permit. Technical rule changes shall not invalidate this
approval, but may require use of a different kind of system. The site approval runs with the land and
will automatically benefit subsequent owners.
Next Step—Construction-Installation Permit
When you are ready to proceed with system construction, contact our office to get a permit application
•
package. The permit must be issued by Marion County before you can start construction.
If you have any questions about this report, please feel free to contact me at(503)365-3165.
5155 Silverton Road NE—Salem,Oregon 97305—Phone(503)588-5147—Fax(503)588-7948
