To Whom it May Concern,
ADMINISTRATION I have evaluated test pits at the above referenced property for the purpose
of your major repair application, my findings are below:
BUILDING
INSPECTION Approved Area & System Type
Soil test pits and other site features were evaluated during the site visit on
EMERGENCY February 4th, 2022. Conditions observed during this site evaluation
MANAGEMENT
indicate that the area around the evaluated test holes is not capable of
ENGINEERING supporting a Standard septic system due to the following limitations:
ENVIRONMENTAL Depth to Soil with Rapid or Very Rapid Permeability
SERVICES
DEQ Rule requirement: Soil with rapid or very rapid permeability
OPERATIONS must be 36" below the ground surface. "Soil with rapid or very rapid
PARKS permeability" refers to sandy loam or coarser soil with 35% or more
coarse fragments over 2mm; loamy sand or sand; or stones, cobbles,
PLANNING gravel and rock fragments with too little soil material to fill the void
spaces. OAR 340-071-0220(1)(c).
SURVEY Description: Treatment of sewage occurs in the soil around the
drainfield area. If the sewage enters the groundwater before it has
been adequately treated in the soil, it poses a potential public health
hazard. A layer of rapid permeability was observed around 0 inches
at this site.
Specific Requirements
This property will require EITHER a 600 square foot seepage bed
absorption system OR 150 linear feet of pressurized distribution lines
per this approval.
