This adjustment will create a 2.46-acre parcel and an 8-acre parcel from a 6.48-acre parcel and a 3.98-acre parcel. There is a home located on the proposed 2.46-acre parcel. Marion County records show the system was installed in 1996 under permit number 95-15098. A site plan and existing system evaluation report was submitted showing the system is located entirely within the proposed parcel meeting setbacks to the property lines, matching the as built record. A repair area was established on the proposed 2.46-acre parcel in 2023 under site evaluation number 23-010340. THIS RECORD REVIEW IS BASED ON THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE APPLICANT. THE SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic,livestock and farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval. The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair area must both be protected. THE SEPTIC TANK SHOULD BE PUMPED AND INSPECTED by a licensed septic tank pumping service approximately EVERY FIVE (5) YEARS. The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in the sewage waste stream. Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in the septic tank can cause the solids to wash out of the tank and into the drainfield.
