The conditions observed during this site <br /> evaluation indicate that the area around the test pit is capable of supporting a STANDARD system. Plans are <br /> approved as revised. Please refer to the signed approved site plan dated April 21, 2020. Any deviation from <br /> the approved plans must be authorized by this office prior to installation or the permit may be voided. It is the <br /> responsibility of applicant/installer to coordinate these requirements with all others in OAR 340-071-0220. <br /> This Permit is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a maximum of 5 bedrooms. Peak <br /> sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum of 525 gallons per day,with an average sewage flow of <br /> not more than 263 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow <br /> quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect your domestic household water use may exceed these <br /> flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment system. <br /> Specific Requirements <br /> TANK RISER: The tank must be installed with watertight risers extending to the ground surface or above. The <br /> riser lid must be gasketed and securely fastened. <br /> AN EFFLUENT LIFT PUMPWILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic system disposal field in the approved <br /> area and at the required depth. Detailed instructions for dosing tank/effluent pump installations are available in <br /> our office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in accordance with the appropriate <br /> Electrical Code. The electrical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be <br /> inspected and approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered and <br /> accessible for inspection. The electrical inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the <br /> dosing tank,the wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure. The effluent pipe must have <br /> 18-gauge minimum green tracer wire or green metallic tape placed along the line. <br /> HEADER PIPE between Distribution Box and drainfield trench must measure a minimum of 4 feet, must be <br /> installed level, and bedded on undisturbed earth. <br /> OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the Department of <br /> Environmental Quality rules. A copy of the DEQ setback requirements is available in our office and online at <br /> http://www.oregon.gov/deq/Residential/Pages/Onsite.aspx under Rules: Division 71: Table 1. <br /> DO NOT INSTALL SYSTEM DURING WINTER MONTHS(Nov. 1—April 1) <br /> The geographical area in which the property lies is considered a risk to installation during winter months. <br /> Therefore, for this installation a Marion County Onsite Wastewater Specialist must specifically approve this site <br /> for installation from November 1st to April 1st. This may include a field visit directly prior to installation <br /> THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and <br /> farming activities. Other activities such as excavating or filling, driveway placement, paving or other similar <br /> activities that alter the natural soil conditions will adversely affect the soil and the septic system function and <br /> lead to premature system failure. The area must not be subjected to excessive saturation due to artificial <br /> drainage of ground surfaces, driveways, building downspouts or other sources. The areas of the initial septic <br /> system and the future repair system must both be protected. <br /> MAINTAIN PERMANENT ACCESS to septic tank for pumping and service. The septic tank should be pumped <br /> and inspected by a licensed septic tank pumping service before sludge and scum accumulations reach 30%of <br /> the tank liquid operating volume.
