Onsite Permit 555-20-002257-PRMT E)(PI RE® Page 4 of 6
Schedule or track inspections at www.buildingpermits.oregon.gov
Call or text the word "schedule" to 1-888-299-2821 use IVR Number:555032686422
Schedule using the Oregon ePermitting Inspection App, search "epermitting"in the app store
Conditions of approval
Approved Area&System Type
Test pits and other site features were evaluated on March 20, 2019. The conditions observed during this site
evaluation indicate that the area around the test pit is capable of supporting a STANDARD system. Plans are
approved as revised. Please refer to the signed approved site plan dated April 21, 2020. Any deviation from
the approved plans must be authorized by this office prior to installation or the permit may be voided. It is the
responsibility of applicant/installer to coordinate these requirements with all others in OAR 340-071-0220.
This Permit is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a maximum of 5 bedrooms. Peak
sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum of 525 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of
not more than 263 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow
quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect your domestic household water use may exceed these
flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment system.
Specific Requirements
TANK RISER: The tank must be installed with watertight risers extending to the ground surface or above. The
riser lid must be gasketed and securely fastened.
AN EFFLUENT LIFT PUMPWILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic system disposal field in the approved
area and at the required depth. Detailed instructions for dosing tank/effluent pump installations are available in
our office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in accordance with the appropriate
Electrical Code. The electrical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be
inspected and approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered and
accessible for inspection. The electrical inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the
dosing tank, the wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure. The effluent pipe must have
18-gauge minimum green tracer wire or green metallic tape placed along the line.
HEADER PIPE between Distribution Box and drainfield trench must measure a minimum of 4 feet, must be
installed level, and bedded on undisturbed earth.
OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the Department of
Environmental Quality rules. A copy of the DEQ setback requirements is available in our office and online at
http://www.oregon.gov/deq/Residential/Pages/Onsite.aspx under Rules: Division 71: Table 1.
DO NOT INSTALL SYSTEM DURING WINTER MONTHS(Nov. 1—April 1)
The geographical area in which the property lies is considered a risk to installation during winter months.
Therefore, for this installation a Marion County Onsite Wastewater Specialist must specifically approve this site
for installation from November 1st to April 1st. This may include a field visit directly prior to installation
THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and
farming activities. Other activities such as excavating or filling, driveway placement, paving or other similar
activities that alter the natural soil conditions will adversely affect the soil and the septic system function and
lead to premature system failure. The area must not be subjected to excessive saturation due to artificial
drainage of ground surfaces, driveways, building downspouts or other sources. The areas of the initial septic
system and the future repair system must both be protected.
MAINTAIN PERMANENT ACCESS to septic tank for pumping and service. The septic tank should be pumped
and inspected by a licensed septic tank pumping service before sludge and scum accumulations reach 30%of
the tank liquid operating volume. Pumping every 3 to 5 years is an average interval. The septic tank is a
4/22/20:10:47:12AM Page 4 of 6 ONS_OnsitePermit_pr
