Onsite Permit 555-19-001532-PRMT Page 4 of 6
Schedule Inspections online at www.buildingpermits.oregon.gov or by calling: 1-888-299-2821 or 503-588-5147
When calling for an inspection, use IVR Number:555059334445
Date issued:4/9/19 Expiration date:4/8/20
Work description: MAJ ALT: REP 3 BDRM MH WITH 5 BDRM SFD
Conditions of approval
Approved Area &System Type
Test pits and other site features were evaluated on March 20, 2019. The conditions observed
during this site evaluation indicate that the area around the evaluated test pits is not capable of
supporting a standard system due to depth to a seasonal water table. Under OAR 340-071-0220,
the seasonal water table cannot rise closer than 24 inches to the native ground surface. At your
site conditions associated with saturation were noted at 18, 19 and 24 inches.
Under these conditions, a standard system is allowed under RURAL AREA CONSIDERATION
in the vicinity of test pits#1 and#3. Property is located in a designated rural zone (EFU) and
meets all conditions for OAR 340-071-0410. System design and permit conditions depart from
temporary water table standard 340-071-0220(1)(b)(B) and will function without creating a public
health hazard or polluting public waters. Sites approved under Rural Area Consideration are
limited to a projected daily sewage flow not to exceed 600 gallons per day.
This Permit is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a maximum of five
bedrooms. Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum of 525 gallons per day, with
an average sewage flow of not more than 263 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment
system may occur if either of these flow quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect
your waste water may exceed these flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment
system.
Plans are approved with notations. Please refer to the signed approved site plan dated April 9,
2019. Any deviation from the approved plans must be authorized by this office prior to installation
or the permit may be voided. It is the responsibility of applicant/installer to coordinate these
requirements with all others in OAR 340-071-0220.
Specific Requirements
TANK RISERS: A watertight riser must be installed on each tank to extend to the ground surface
or above. The riser lids must be gasketed and securely fastened.
AN EFFLUENT LIFT PUMP WILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic system disposal field in the
approved area and at the required depth. Detailed instructions for dosing tank/effluent pump
installations are available in our office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be
installed in accordance with the appropriate Electrical Code. The electrical work must be done
under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be inspected and approved by a Marion County
Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered and accessible for inspection. The electrical
inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank, the wiring in the
trench and the connections in the structure.
HEADER PIPE between Distribution Boxes and drainfield trench must measure a minimum of 4
feet, must be installed level, and bedded on undisturbed earth.
OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the Department of
Environmental Quality rules. A copy of the DEQ setback requirements is available in our office
and online at http://www.oregon.gov/deq/Residential/Pages/Onsite.aspx under Rules: Division 71:
4/10/19:4:48:28PM Page 4 of 6 ONS_OnsitePermit_pr
