County
Building Inspection Division
- Onsite Wastewater Review
PUBLIC WORKS
Activity Number: 555-23-004182-AUTH Date: December 15,2023
Project Address: 8088 Albus Rd SE,Aumsville
081W3OD 01900; 22.00 acres
Completed By: Danielle Brown,EH-ST
ONSITE WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
AUTHORIZATION NOTICE
Temporary Personal Hardship Renewal
Existing system information:
Marion County file records indicate the system currently serving the property was installed in 2001 under permit
555-01-01611 with a peak design flow of 600-gallons per day.The drainfield is 600 linear feet installed at a depth
of 18 inches. The tank is an existing 1500-gallon concrete tank. The system is currently connected to 2 dwellings,
the primary 3-bedroom home and the 3-bedroom hardship with a temporary connection.Pictures were provided of
the system area showing no failure and the drainfield area appears to be free of situations such as buildings,
livestock, or traffic that could compromise the integrity of the system.
The tank was last pumped and inspected on February 21, 2023. Per Marion County Policy, the tank must be
pumped and evaluated every ten years, the tank must be pumped before the next renewal in 2028 is issued. It is
recommended that the tank is pumped sooner.
THE AUTHORIZATION NOTICE TO CONTINUE CONNECTION TO A TEMPORARY HARDSHIP
DWELLING TO THE EXISTING'ONSITE SYS IEM IS APPROVED. Please refer to the signed approved site
plan dated September 23, 2015.
PERSONAL HARDSHIP RENEWAL IS REQUIRED EVERY 5 YEARS,A SITE VISIT IS REQUIRED EVERY
10 YEARS MINIMUM.
THE SEPTIC TANK SHOULD BE PUMPED AND INSPECTED by a licensed septic tank pumping service
approximately EVERY FIVE (5) YEARS AND MUST BE PUMPED AT LEAST EVERY TEN (10) YEARS.
The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in the sewage waste stream. Excessive accumulation of these
solid materials in the septic tank may cause the solids to wash out of the tank and into the drainfield. This may
cause irreversible damage to the drainfield and may eventually lead to a system failure.
THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and
farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any similar
activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval. The areas of the
initial septic system and the future repair system must both be protected.
OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the DEQ rules. The well
placement is especially critical and must be located at least one-hundred(100)feet from the approved initial and
replacement DRAINFIELD areas.A copy of the DEQ setback requirements is available in our office.
555 Court St.NE — P.O.Box 14500—Salem,Oregon 97309-5036—Phone(503)588-5147--Fax(503)588-7948
Page 1 of 1
