Building Inspection Division
c -.- Onsite Septic Review
" l.. OREGO.N
iiiiPUB1:1C:INPRKS=
Activity Number: 555-23-006343-EVAL Date: September 12, 2023
Project Address: 6561 Brush Creek Dr NE, Silverton
061 W29D 00100; 9.85 Acres
Completed By: Aidan Bammes,REHS
ONSITE WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM SITE EVALUATION
DENIAL
Site Limitations
Relevant site features were evaluated during the site visit on August 1st' 2023. The conditions observed
during the site evaluation indicate that the area where the test pits were located does not meet minimum
standards established by the Department of Environmental Quality. The area evaluated is denied for onsite
wastewater treatment.
Most sites have some limitations that will affect the location or type of wastewater system that may be
installed; however, the area of the site that was evaluated is not capable of supporting any Standard or
Alternative septic system due to the following limitations:
Temporary water table is 9" below the surface.
DEQ Rule requirement:
Depth of the Temporary (perched)Water Table must be at least 24 inches below the surface for a
standard system, and at least 12 inches below the surface for a sand filter or alternative treatment
technology system under OAR 340-071-0220(1)(b) & OAR 340-071-0290(2)(a). The depth to
temporary water table in the area evaluated is 9".
Alternatives—Where to Go From Here
As described above, the soil conditions at this site do not qualify for a subsurface treatment system.
The following options are available:
Apply to connect the shop to the main house system with a pump tank. This will require a minor alteration
permit which can be applied for at Marion County Public works, a permit application packet is attached.
Please submit a site plan and a list of the materials to be used including an approved tank specification for
the State of Oregon.
5155 Silverton Road NE—Salem,Oregon 97305—Phone(503)588-5147—Fax(503)588-7948
Page 1 of 3
