Marton county Building Inspection Division
Onsite Wastewater Review
. t R EG N
PUBLICINORKS
Activity Number:555-23-004624-INQY Date: August 18,2023
Project Address:13283 Picard P1 SE,Turner
2.15 acres of 092W2801900, proposed P 22-015
Completed By: Aidan Bammes, REHS
SEPTIC SYSTEM EXSISTING SYSTEM EVALUATION
This record review was conducted for a proposed property partition. This adjustment will create a 2.15 acre
parcel and a 2.59 acre parcel from a 4.74 acre parent parcel. There is a 3 bedroom single family residence
located on the 2.15 acre parcel.
Marion County records show the system was installed in 1976 under permit number 79-619. The system
consists of a 1000-gallon tank connected to 450 linear ft of drainline. A site plan and existing system
evaluation report was submitted showing the system is located entirely within the proposed parcel meeting
setbacks to the property lines, matching the as built record.A site inspection was preformed, and the drain
field was found to be not failing and repair areas were free of traffic and livestock. However, it is
recommended to add risers to the septic tank to reach surface level.
THIS RECORD REVIEW IS BASED ON THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE APPLICANT.
THE SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and farming
activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any similar
activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval. The areas
of the initial septic system and the future repair area must both be protected.
THE SEPTIC TANK SHOULD BE PUMPED AND INSPECTED by a licensed septic tank pumping
service approximately EVERY FIVE (5) YEARS. The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in
the sewage waste stream. Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in the septic tank can cause the
solids to wash out of the tank and into the drainfield. This can cause irreversible damage to the drainfield
and can eventually lead to a system failure.
5155 Silverton Rd NE—Salem,Oregon 97305-3802—Phone(503)588-5147—Fax(503)588-7948
