System plans reflect the
approved stakeout and are approved as submitted. Refer to approved plans
dated November 2, 2018. Any deviation from the approved plans must be
authorized by this office prior to installation or the permit may be voided. It's
the responsibility of applicant/installer to coordinate these requirements with all
others in OAR 340-071-0220.
This permit is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a
maximum of 4 bedrooms. Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a
maximum of 450 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of not more
than 225 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment system may
occur if either of these flow quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you
expect your domestic household water use may exceed these flows, it is
advisable to increase the size of the treatment system.
AN EFFLUENT LIFT PUMP WILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic system
disposal field in the approved area and at the required depth. Detailed
instructions for dosing tank/effluent pump installations are available in our
office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in
accordance with the appropriate Electrical Code. The electrical work must be
done under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be inspected and
approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector. The work must be left
uncovered and accessible for inspection. The electrical inspection includes the
connections to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank, the wiring in the trench
and the connections in the structure. The effluent pipe must have 18-gauge
minimum green tracer wire or green metallic tape placed along the line.
PRESSURE OPERATED EQUAL DISTRIBUTION IS REQUIRED as part of this
installation. Lines leading from hydrosplitter to distribution boxes must drain
freely, with no sag.
HEADER PIPE between Distribution Box and drainfield trench must measure a
minimum of 4 feet, must be installed level, and bedded on undisturbed earth.
TANK RISER: The tank must be installed with watertight risers extending to
the ground surface or above. The riser lid must be gasketed and securely
fastened.
DRY SOIL CONDITIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION (March 1 -
October 31) The geographical area in which the property lies is considered a
risk to installation during winter months.
