<br />NARRATIVE
<br />THE PURPOSE OF THIS VISITATION WAS TO FIND THE SECTION CORNER COMMON TO
<br />SECTIONS 9, 10, 15, AND 16 AFTER THE BEACHIE CREEK FIRE. ALSO TO LOCATE
<br />AND VERIFY ITS ACCESSORIES REPORTED IN MARION COUNTY SURVEY RECORD
<br />(MCSR) 28156 AND MCSR 29179, WHICH ARE SLIGHTLY BURNED HIGH SNIPED
<br />STUMPS AND A BURNED TREE STILL STANDING. NO NEW ACCESSORIES ESTABLISHED
<br />AT THIS TIME. THE CORNER WAS RE-MONUMENTED BY PROCHNAU IN 1979 MCSR
<br />28156 AND VISITED BY WIGHTMAN IN 1981 MCSR 29179.
<br />RECORDS RESEARCH WAS PERFORMED IN THE MARION COUNTY SURVEYOR'S OFFICE
<br />TO OBTAIN ALL FILED SURVEYS AND FIELD NOTES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT
<br />THIS CORNER. A FIELD SEARCH WAS MADE TO LOCATE ALL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF
<br />THIS CORNER AND ITS ACCESSORIES. THE MONUMENT SET 1N MCSR 28156, WAS
<br />FOUND WITH A SLIGHT LEAN SOUTHWESTERLY AND THE FIVE ACCESSORIES WERE
<br />FOUND. THREE 8' HIGH SNIPED STUMPS, ONE BADLY DECAYING, BURNED ORIGINAL
<br />STUMP, AND ONE DEAD, BURNED TREE STANDING AND SOLID.
<br />THE BASIS OF BEARINGS IS BETWEEN THE 2-112" DIAMETER BRASS CAP MARKING
<br />THE SECTION CORNER OF SECTION 9, 10, 15, AND 16, TO ACCESSORY 1892[2]
<br />WHICH IS A FIR 51 " IN DIAMETER, BURNED AND DECAYING STUMP. BEARING WAS
<br />DETERMINED BY USING A HAND COMPASS AND DISTANCE WAS DETERMINED BY 200'
<br />CLOTH TAPE, MEASURED TO CENTER OF BURNED AND DECAYING STUMP.
<br />EQUIPMENT.
<br />A HAND COMPASS WITH DECLINATION SET TO 15` EAST WAS USED FOR BASIS OF
<br />BEARINGS AND VERIFYING EXISTING ACCESSORIES. A 2 00' CLOTH TAPE WAS USED
<br />FOR VERIFYING EXISTING DISTANCES OF ACCESSORIES.
