<br />The purpose of this survey was to monument the Northwest and
<br />Southwest corners of that tract of land described in Reel 4216,
<br />Page 430, Marion County Deed Records. The basis of bearings for
<br />this survey is between found monuments "A" and "B" as shown on
<br />Marion County Survey 39296. The South Line of Lot 2, Block 9, of
<br />"Highland Avenue Addition", as recorded in Volume 2, Page 6, Marion
<br />County Book of Town Plats, was established by found monuments
<br />"C" and "F". Monument "C" was a tack in lead in the top of a
<br />concrete retaining wall that appears to be undisturbed and was held
<br />for the Southwest corner of Lot 13 of said Block 9 as shown on
<br />Marion County Survey 17916. The West right of way line of 5th
<br />Street NE and East line of said lot 2 was established by a line
<br />formed by found monuments "F" and "H". The North line of said
<br />fractional lot 2 was established by holding found monuments "G"
<br />and "I". The East line of the 10 foot wide alley and West line of
<br />said fractional lot 2 was established by holding found monument $'I"
<br />and a point 10 feet Easterly of found monument "D". Marion County
<br />Surveys 17916 and 12402 call for a 1/2" iron pipe 1.00' East of this
<br />location. The 1/2" iron pipe is no longer there. The 3/4" iron pipe
<br />was held for the SE corner of Lot 12 because the distances to
<br />Broadway and 5th street are much closer to the record of 120.00'
<br />compared to if I held it as a 1.00' witness corner to the East as
<br />shown on said surveys. The tract described in Reel 4216, Page 430,
<br />MCDR is described as Lot 2, Block 9 "Highland Avenue Addition to
<br />Salem" save and except the West 50 feet. The West line of the
<br />subject property was established by holding deed distance of 50 feet
<br />Easterly of found monument "I" on the North line of said lot 2 and
<br />50 feet Easterly of the intersection of the west line of said lot 2
<br />and the south line of said lot 2. The ownership of the existing
<br />fence shown hereon is unknown.
<br />EQUIPMENT AND PROCEDURE
<br />A LEICA TS12 Electronic Total Station Survey System;
<br />CARLSON SURVEY Data Collector with supplemental
<br />hand—written field survey notes were used in this survey.

<br />A 2 foot sidewalk and water line easement exist on the
<br />South side of Lot 2, Block 9 of Highland Addition to
<br />Salem as described on deeds back to Volume 583, Page
<br />491, Marion County Deed Records. No width is stated on
<br />said documents.
