<br />THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY WAS TO VISIT THE EAST 114 CORNER COMMON TO
<br />SECTION 22 AND SECTION 23 AFTER THE BEACHIE CREEK FIRE. ALSO TO LOCATE
<br />AND VERIFY ITS ACCESSORIES REPORTED IN BLM FIELD NOTES, VOL OR R0656, PG
<br />267, WHICH ARE NOW TWO BURNT STUMPS AS SHOWN. THE CORNER WAS
<br />RE-MONUMENTED IN 1953, IN THE BLM FIELD NOTES, VOL OR R0565, PG 248.
<br />THOSE REFERENCES ARE GONE.
<br />RECORDS RESEARCH WAS PERFORMED IN THE MARION COUNTY SURVEYOR'S OFFICE
<br />TO OBTAIN ALL FILED SURVEYS AND FIELD NOTES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT
<br />THIS CORNER. A FIELD SEARCH WAS MADE TO LOCATE ALL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF
<br />THIS CORNER AND ITS ACCESSORIES. THE MONUMENT REPORTED IN THE BLM FIELD
<br />NOTES WAS FOUND IN GOOD CONDITION. FOUR NEW ACCESSORIES WERE SET AT THIS
<br />TIME.
<br />THE BASIS OF BEARINGS IS BETWEEN THE 2-1 /2" GENERAL LAND OFFICE BRASS
<br />CAP MARKING THE EAST 114 CORNER OF SECTION 22 AND THE WEST 114 OF
<br />SECTION 23, TO THE REFERENCE [7] WHICH IS A 5/8 " IRON ROD WITH A 2 "
<br />MARION COUNTY ALUMINUM CAP STAMPED "MARION COUNTY SURVEYOR RP 1 ".
<br />BEARING WAS DETERMINED BY USING A HAND COMPASS WITH DECLINATION SET TO
<br />15' EAST.
<br />EQUIPMENT.
<br />A LEICA NOVA MS50 MULTISTATION WITH AN ANGULAR RESOLUTION OF ONE SECOND,
<br />HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL, DISTANCE TO 2 MILLIMETERS +/- 2 PARTS PER MILLION
<br />WAS USED FOR SETTING NEW ACCESSORY MONUMENTS. A HAND COMPASS WITH
<br />DECLINATION SET TO 15° EAST WAS USED FOR VERIFYING EXISTING ACCESSORIES. A
<br />12' POCKET TAPE WAS USED FOR VERIFYING DISTANCE TO EXISTING ACCESSORY
