NARRATIVE <br />THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY WAS TO VISIT THE 1/4 CORNER COMMON TO <br />SECTION 22 AND SECTION 27 AFTER THE BEACHI E CREEK FIRE. ALSO TO LOCATE <br />AND VERIFY ITS REFERENCES REPORTED IN MCSR 3261 AND SET NEW REFERENCES <br />IF NEEDED. THE CORNER WAS RE—MONUMENTED IN 1950, MCSR 3261, AND PLACED <br />NEXT TO THE NORTH FACE OF THE ORIGINAL STONE. <br />RECORDS RESEARCH WAS PERFORMED IN THE MARION COUNTY SURVEYOR'S OFFICE <br />TO OBTAIN ALL FILED SURVEYS AND FIELD NOTES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT <br />THIS CORNER. A FIELD SEARCH WAS MADE TO LOCATE ALL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF <br />THIS CORNER AND ITS ACCESSORIES. THE MONUMENT SET IN MCSR 3261 WAS <br />FOUND IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ACCESSORIES WERE LOCATED AND TIED AS SHOWN. <br />TWO NEW REFERENCES WERE SET AT THIS TIME. <br />THE BASIS OF BEARINGS IS BETWEEN THE 1950 REFERENCE [4] WHICH IS NOW A <br />30" DIA FIR STUMP REPORTED IN MCSR 3261, TO THE 3" OREGON STATE BOARD OF <br />FORESTRY BRASS CAP MARKING THE SOUTH 114 CORNER OF SECTION 22 AND THE <br />NORTH 114 OF SECTION 27. <br />EQUIPMENT. <br />A NIKON K SERIES TOTAL STATION WITH AN ANGULAR RESOLUTION OF TWO SECONDS, <br />HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL, DISTANCE TO 2 MILLIMETERS +/— 2 PARTS PER MILLION <br />WAS USED FOR SETTING NEW REFERENCE MONUMENTS AND TO VERIFY DISTANCES TO <br />EXISTING ACCESSORIES.
