Details of the evaluation can be found on the
MANAGEMENT attached field sheet and site map, however, conditions observed
ENGINEERING during this site evaluation indicate that the area around the evaluated
test hole cannot be approved for a STANDARD system due to the
ENVIRONMENTAL following reason(s):
SERVICES
Temporary groundwater level is too close to the ground surface
OPERATIONS DEQ Rule requirement: Temporary groundwater level cannot come within
PARKS 24 inches of the soil surface for a Standard system. "Temporary
groundwater" refers to a water table that that is seasonal or periodic.
PLANNING "Conditions associated with saturation" refer to soil morphological
properties caused by saturation that persists long enough to impair system
SURVEY function and create a potential health hazard. Conditions of saturation
were noted in test pits at your site at 12 inches in pit. This depth to ground
water meets the criteria for an ATT drainfield with a shallow gravelless or
capping fill drainfield.
This repair site approval is for a system designed to serve a single family
dwelling with a maximum of 3 bedrooms. Peak sewage flow into the
system is limited to a maximum of 450 gallons per day, with an average
sewage flow of not more than 225 gallons per day. Premature failure of
the treatment system may occur if either of these flow quantities is
exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect your domestic household water
use may exceed these flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the
treatment system.
5155 Silverton Road NE•Salem,OR 97305-3802• www.co.marion.or.us/PW
Printed on recycled paper• Reduce—Reuse—Recycle-Recover
