USING
THIS INFORMATION, A FIELD SEARCH WAS MADE TO LOCATE ALL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF THIS
CORNER AND ITS ACCESSORIES.
THE ORIGINAL ONE-QUARTER CORNER POSITION PERPETUATED BY RICHARD G. STONEX, LONGVIEW
FIBRE FORESTER IN 1974, SUBSEQUENTLY PERPETUATED AND MONUMENTED BY WESLEY E.
SCHLENKER IN 1981 WITH A 1 " IRON PIPE AND A BRASS CAP, AS REPORTED BY THE BUREAU
OF LAND MANAGEMENT (B.L.M.)(1996) IN FIELD NOTE VOLUME OR -R0671, PAGE 47 WAS FOUND
DISTURBED BY PRIOR LOGGING ACTIVITIES. ALL OF THE ACCESSORIES REPORTED BY B.L.M. WERE
DISTURBED OR DESTROYED BY THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED LOGGING ACTIVITIES, EXCEPT FOR THE
28 INCH FIR STUMP, 1893 ACCESSORY NUMBER 2. B.L.M. RECORD BEARING AND DISTANCE
FROM THE REMAINING ORIGINAL BEARING TREE, 28 INCH STUMP, WAS HELD TO REMONUMENT THE
POSITION WITH A MARION COUNTY MONUMENT AS SHOWN HEREON.
DUE TO THE PRIOR LOGGING, THERE WERE NO VIABLE TREES FOR NEW BEARING TREES. AT THIS
TIME A 2" MARION COUNTY ALUMINUM CAP ON A 5/8" X 30" REBAR, AS WELL AS, A MARION
COUNTY YPC ON A 5/8" X 30" REBAR WERE SET AS REFERENCES UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE
TREES HAVE GROWN AND CAN BE SCRIBED.
ANOTHER VISITATION OF THIS CORNER AND THE SOUTH SIXTEENTH CORNER WAS CONDUCTED
AFTER THE BEACHIE CREEK FIRE. THE REMAINS OF THE 1893 BEARING TREE (28 INCH FIR
STUMP) WAS DESTROYED BY THE FIRE. THE BEARING TREES AT THE SOUTH SIXTEENTH WERE
CHARRED BUT GREEN.
THE BASIS OF BEARING FOR THIS SURVEY IS N 52'10'0 1 " E FROM THE WEST QUARTER CORNER
OF SECTION 29 TO THE UNITED STATES ENGINEERS TRIANGULATION STATION "DURO", AS PER
BLM FIELD NOTES VOLUME OR-RO671 PG 47 AND MCSR 35274.
EQUIPMENT AND SPECIFICATIONS USED TO MAKE OBSERVATIONS:
LEICA NOVA MS50 MULTISTATION WITH AN ANGULAR RESOLUTION OF ONE SECOND, HORIZONTAL
AND VERTICAL, DISTANCE TO 2MM +/- 2PPM.
NIKON DTM-522 SERIES TOTAL STATION WITH AN ANGULAR RESOLUTION OF ONE SECOND,
HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL, DISTANCE TO 2MM +/- 2PPM.
GC 13449
SCALE: 1 " = 500'
0' 500' 1000' 1500'
COORDINATES AND DISTANCES SHOWN IN
THIS SURVEY ARE IN UNITS OF
INTERNATIONAL FEET
SHEET 1 OF 3
