<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Elections Board Worker <br />Class Code: <br />038 <br />Bargaining Unit: 15 - Election Board Workers <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$12.75 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt06 Administrative SupportCounty Clerk <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs a variety of general unskilled or semi-skilled duties in the elections office according <br />to prescribed procedures, rules, and methods that can be readily learned on the job; efficiently <br />uses general office machines, equipment, forms, and documents to complete tasks and <br />assignments. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the direction of a clerical, administrative or professional employee who assigns <br />work, sets goals and reviews work for accuracy and completeness. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br />Assignments require general skills and can be learned and executed correctly with minimal <br />instruction and training. This is a temporary, on-call position to assist with elections as needed <br />throughout the year. The hours will vary with assigned duties and may involve either daytime <br />or evening hours. This is a seasonal position involving variable hours per year (average is 50 <br />– 200 hours annually). The Elections Office is committed to exceptional customer service and <br />relies upon a team-oriented workplace. <br />Directions, rules, and procedures are provided in written or oral form, and work assignments <br />are periodically checked for compliance with guidelines and instructions.
