It is important to vote for the creation of a Salem Public Library District. For many years Salem had one of the finest, most used public libraries, for the community’s size, in the country. Due to significant city budget cuts, that is no longer so. For a modest amount of additional funding from each district property owner the library will again be able to be open reasonable hours, provide a fine array of books, movies and periodicals on the shelves and provide beneficial programs to the community’s youth and adults.
