MEASURE NO. 24-96 Hubbard RFPD Ballot Title: Referred to the People by the District Board 5 Year Local Option Tax Question: Shall Hubbard Rural Fire Protection District impose $.435 per $1,000 of assessed value for five years beginning in 2003-2004? This measure may cause property taxes to increase more than three percent. Summary: This measure, if approved, would provide funds for the District to train its volunteer firefighter/medics. In addition, it will allow the District to continue to fund current levels of services, maintain its existing equipment and replace old protection equipment. The requested rate will raise approximately $60,000 each fiscal year. |
