SALEM’S WORKING AGAIN.

Four years ago I asked for your help to change the direction of our city. You gave it and I went to work.

• Public safety is my top priority. The result has been added police officers to fight the Meth crisis and creation of a new fire department engine company, without increasing taxes.

Other efforts include:

• Stopping development on undersized lots in SESNA, securing zoning protection in NEN, challenging traffic patterns in SCAN, helping the SEMCA neighborhood secure a sound barrier along I-5.

• Reducing unemployment by attracting new businesses with family wage jobs and sound development plans.

• Bringing new life to downtown with a “toolbox” full of incentives to create housing and rehabilitate historic structures.

• Cleaning up streams, protecting trees, adding new parks and enhancing the livability of our entire community.

TO KEEP SALEM WORKING WE MUST:

• Continue making public safety a priority, expand the Neighborhood Watch Program and bring community police and enforcement efforts closer to the citizens.

• Rewrite our city codes to protect our neighborhoods and insure that increased density and infill is beneficial to everyone.

• Challenge any attempt to reroute traffic from major arterials into our neighborhoods.

• Build on our clean streams program with a public-private partnership to reestablish salmon runs in Mill and Pringle Creeks.

• Continue our practice of finding solutions without raising taxes.

• Keep working together to guarantee that all voices are heard and respected.
