Stayton Rural Fire Protection District General Obligation Bond Authorization

Question: Shall Stayton Fire District be authorized to issue general obligation bonds in an amount not exceeding $1,600,000? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11b, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution.

Summary: This measure will authorize the District to issue general obligation bonds to replace aging fire trucks and failing air packs. What will your support accomplish? The bond proceeds will be used to purchase the following:

• 1 fire engine with ladder

• 1 fire engine

• 3 multi-purpose quick response vehicles

• 1 command vehicle

• 1 support vehicle

• air packs

The bonds will be repaid over a period not exceeding 11 years.
