As a lifelong resident of Silverton, I have an investment in the future of our community, and as a result, have invested countless hours in service to the area, and will use the office of City Council to further that work. I was born in Silverton; I attended public school in Silverton; my children we’re born in Silverton, and attend public school in Silverton; I have nearly twenty years of employment history in Silverton, including ten at Silver Creek Animal Clinic. This is my home, and I have devoted my career, as well as my free time, to helping to make this a better place to live. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Silverton Area Chamber of Commerce, Silverton Rotary Club,Homer Davenport Days, and Silverton Little League. I have had the privilege of being a volunteer youth baseball coach for 11 years, serving over 150 area boys and girls.Through Silver Creek Animal Clinic, I have had the pleasure of creating opportunities for area youth to explore the veterinary field as they dream of their future, through youth camps, and partnerships with local schools for direct learning. I am dedicated to bridging the gap between current leadership in our community and the young people that will one day take our place. I applaud the beginning of a movement to create youth recreational opportunities, and feel the goals can be achieved in a way that satisfies all concerned parties. My job, as well as volunteer positions, provides the experience in fiscal prudence and decision making necessary to contribute to our community through this office. I am dedicated to considering the “big picture” of our future, while representing individual interests. I am From Silverton, and For Silverton, and appreciate the opportunity to be considered for Silverton City Council.
