History. Born & Raised in Stayton, I have spent my entire life in this area. I went to school here, my family is here, my business is here, and my future is here.

After moving into town 6 years ago, I was asked to fill a vacancy on the City Council. After a short deliberation, I decided that this would be a fitting way to be of service and “pay-back” to the community that has been supportive to my business and such a big part of my life.

In my opinion, a City must be run like a business. Often the decisions that a City Council makes affects small business owners, so some of the City Council members should represent small business. With over 20 years of business experience I have helped fill that need.

City Councilors should have experience. Often times, in voluntary positions such as this, “turnover” is a problem. After one term, many will decide that the job requires too much time and energy and leave. This “Turnover” affects Council, Staff and the efficient operation of any City. With 3 years of experience, I provide stability and a working knowledge of all aspects of City business.

City Councilors should be reliable. Regular meetings are twice monthly. Other meetings include Budget Committee, Work sessions, Executive Sessions and in my case, Planning Commission once per month. (I am Council Liaison to the Planning Commission) In 3 years I have not missed a Council meeting. I have the desire to be there and hope to continue beyond January 2005 when my current term expires.

Your vote matters.

Thank You
