I look forward to a position on city council. I have lived in Silverton for almost 40 years and believe in preserving the city’s culture and at the same time helping to make new and already established businesses be successful. I will listen, learn, and act on your behalf to the very best of my ability. I will attempt to make every wall a door.

“Morry Jones, as a board chair and member, served the Silver Falls School District students, teachers and community members with integrity, energy and foresight. He is not afraid to make the tough but right decisions.”

Craig Roessler

Morry Jones has demonstrated a unique level of commitment to the Silverton community, our local schools, and our citizens. Over the past twenty years I have worked with and observed Morry Jones as he has served on the local school board, mentored young students and provided guidance through coaching kids. He is a man that is not afraid to make the tough decision and has the personal integrity to do the right thing when doing the right thing is not easy. Morry Jones is good for Silverton. Join me in voting for Morry Jones for Silverton City Council.

I have known and respected Morry Jones for 10 years during which time he served for five years as School Board member and board chair. In that capacity, Morry demonstrated a commitment to listen carefully to input from staff and community, to consider a variety of factors before making decisions, to treat others with respect, and to make difficult, and sometimes unpopular decisions in the best interest of children and the school district based on information available. I’m confident Morry Jones will be the same kind of City Council member.
