As a Silverton Union High School graduate who has lived within the city limits for nearly 30 years I have a vested interest in maintaining the “small town feel” and historic nature of Silverton so that future generations can enjoy this beautiful city.

My three children were born at Silverton Hospital and educated in Silverton schools. The quality and success of both the hospital and school system is a tribute to the community. While there will always be struggles for some businesses, I believe that by working together, the business community and the City can build a thriving downtown that will meet the Council goal to revitalize the downtown.

As a current city councilor I am dedicated to listening to citizen concerns and initiating reviews of ordinances or new regulations when needed. I encourage citizens to take an active part in the City by becoming involved in community advisory groups or other organizations. The restored swimming pool is a wonderful example of how citizens and the City can work together to accomplish shared goals.

While our city will change and grow, it is through a balance of change and growth that we can maintain what we love about Silverton. It would be my honor to help ensure that balance and continue to serve the citizens of Silverton as City Councilor.
