I have lived and worked in Salem for over thirty years. The library is the heart of our community’s educational and cultural life. It provides people with practical information, assists independent learners, provides popular literature, supports formal education centers, and is used for a wide range of community activities and events.

I am committed to establishing excellent library service throughout the new library district. I look forward to helping create library branches that will provide safe, inviting, educational places for our youth; convenient access for seniors and the disabled; and exceptional service for all.

I also am a fiscal conservative who understands numbers and budgets. I will make sure that taxpayers get outstanding value for their tax dollars.

I am pleased to offer to the new library board my experience from the Salem Public Library Advisory Board and the Salem Public Library Foundation, my background from the three Library Development Planning Committees, my knowledge of budgeting, and my expertise with numbers. I look forward to working with you to establish a library system we can all use with ease and pride.
