Why is the County Clerk
so important to you and your family?

Simple Answer:
ELECTIONS - MARRIAGE LICENSES - TAXES

The Elections Division conducts elections for all Marion County taxing districts and political offices, including 20 cities, 12 school districts, 20 fire districts, seven water districts and many more. This means maintaining registration for approximately 150,000 voters and updating names or addresses for 50,000 to 70,000 voters each year.

VICTORIA believes it is paramount, regardless of whom or what issue you support in an election, that our voter registration be error free, that votes are counted accurately, and that the process and outcome is flawless. You can depend on Victoria to make sure your vote counts, and gets counted!

Marriage licenses are issued through the Clerk’s office. The Licensing and Records Division maintains the official record of all property transactions and ensures easy public access to these records.

The Clerk’s Office also staffs the Board of Property Tax Appeals.

“We have seen the importance of the County Clerk position in recent events in our State and in the 2000 presidential election. I will assure an accurate election, I will follow the law, and I will maintain a professional office. This is important for your family and all who make Marion County their home.”
