MEASURE NO. 24-96

Hubbard RFPD

Explanatory Statement:

The Hubbard Rural Fire Protection District is placing a measure before the voters that would impose $.435 per $1,000 of assessed value for five years.

The purpose of the measure is to allow the District to continue to fund current levels of service, maintain existing equipment and to replace old equipment such as protective boots, coats, pants, gloves, air packs, face masks and fire hose.

The revenue will also be used to send its volunteer firefighter/medics to Occupational Safety & Health Act required seminars and other essential training seminars, and for the purchase of training tools such as CPR mannequins and current training manuals. It is essential to the District to encourage and maintain a well-trained volunteer workforce.
