Dear Friends,

If elected as Mayor, I will listen (really listen) to our citizen’s concerns and work to implement your wishes for our City.

Salem’s Open For Business ... But Not For Sale.

Do you believe your mayor has listened to you, the voter, the past two years?

Here is what we think is important:

¸ Priorities - to take care of our own citizens first.

¸ Urban Growth Boundary, Planning and Annexation. Big boxes seem to be sprouting everywhere. Is this what we want more of? We need planned development of Salem.

¸ Promoting local business first.

¸ Doing all we can to protect our environment and natural resources for future generations.

¸ Gang activity - increased methamphetamine epidemic will place increase demands on not only police, but services to children, as well.

¸ Efficient budgeting of city taxpayer money.

¸ The future of our historic downtown. Downtown Salem is poised for big changes. Who will those preserve its historic nature?

I appreciate your support and concerns. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Jim Alderson
