MEASURE NO. 24-118

City of Stayton

Argument in Favor:

Please take the time to vote and mail in your ballot... and when you do vote, please vote “Yes” for our community! This local issue is about the quality of life we want to provide for our children, our grandchildren and ourselves. It is about what we want the City of Stayton to provide its citizens. A portion of the levy will be used to repair and resurface the city tennis courts and it will provide new playground equipment in Pioneer Park. It will also provide some funds for trail development in our parks. We have a very good park system and by voting “Yes” we will be able to continue that legacy. By voting “Yes”, we will be able to continue existing programs at the library and pool, as well as providing more of what the public wants from our local government. The following are just a few of the people supporting this measure:

Gerry Aboud, Mayor

Beverly Thompson Pat Hearn Anthony Guevara

David Thompson Janice Palmer John Peterson

Pam Pugsley Gary Palmer Don Koenig

Michael Jaeger Ken Rasmussen Frank Storey

Michael Meiners, DVM Richard Smilie Lavern Carey

Glen E. Armstrong Sam Brentano Curt Froemke

Leslie Seaver Patricia G. Curfman Dave Valencia

Kelley Graham B. J. Hollensteiner Cassandra Haynes

David W. Kinney Donna Miller Robert Pendleton

Julie Louden Judy C. Gormley Karlene L. Jensen

Marla Brummer Rebecca Petersen Sandra Porter

Daniel D. Brummer Gail M. Lewis Ron Bullock

Susan M. Brandt Roger Kaye Leslie J. Bullock

John Brandt Barbara L. Wright Jennifer Niegel

Please remember .... The NET cost of this levy is only $9.50 per year (for a house with a $150,000 assessed value) over the expiring current local option tax levy, which has set the standard for Stayton citizens’ expectations for their community’s library, pool and parks!
