MEASURE NO. 24-117

City of Salem

Argument in Favor:

STAND FOR CHILDREN URGES YOU TO VOTE YES ON #24-117

Stand for Children is a citizens group committed to a Salem where all children grow up healthy, educated and safe.

Our city and our children deserve the investment that Measure 24-117 guarantees!

Kids and Cops is an excellent and much needed answer to a community-wide concern for our children. Everyday we learn that children are deciding to use drugs and get involved in unsafe activities at earlier and earlier ages. Most studies indicate they make that choice as early as age 8! The afterschool programs provided by Measure 24-117 are proven effective in directing children to positive, constructive, healthy choices.

Measure 24-117 ensures that 4500 middle school students will have a safe environment, skilled adult supervision, support with homework, access to sports, community volunteerism, and more, in those critical afterschool hours.

MEASURE 24-117 WILL MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THEIR LIVES!

Kids & Cops is supported by schools, teachers, youth-serving organizations, grandparents, churches and businesses. People who know kids, who know the risks they are exposed to and who know the troubling times our community faces, know that 24-117 is a step in reclaiming our community for our children.

Today, Vote YES for Salem’s children.
It’s a Future Worth Investing In.
