I am seeking election to the Cascade School District Board of Education as fulfillment of a goal set several years ago before my children first entered school. At that time, I realized that the education of the youth in our community was one of the most significant community services in which someone can be involved. Since then, I have helped with community sports programs, served on school boards and budget committees, volunteered for the local fire district, been an adult leader with Boy Scouts, and held several responsibilities in our church. My family has lived in the community since the early 1970’s and my wife is a long-time graduate of Cascade High School as well as both my son and daughter.

Since being appointed to the Cascade School District Board of Education last Spring, I have learned many of the inner workings on how our schools both educate our youth as well as serve our community. I have also spent time with the other board members confronting the many challenges involving finances, facilities, and school mandates. I desire to continue with the work we have started and serve the patrons of the School District. I will listen, question, be thoughtful, and decisive. I will do my very best to serve everyone in our community with a vision for the excellence in education that we all seek.

Thank you for your support.
