It has been said that children are our most valuable resource and the future of our society. I would like to assist in ensuring that the children of our community have a solid education.

My wife and I have been residents of Marion County for 21 years, the last 7 years in the Jefferson community. We have 2 teenage children in the Jefferson School system.

I feel that my background as a business owner has given me experience with goal setting, management, budgets and a variety of other experiences that could be of value serving on the school board. We need to be responsible with education dollars while helping students to attain challenging goals. I know that the community wants the school to be realistic in the finances and programs and to act decisively to eliminate waste and inefficiency. I believe that education requires a team effort between administrators, teachers, parents and the community. We must give our children the proper preparation and tools for success. I believe my energy, experience and determination will help solve problems that Jefferson faces.
